Howard Dean on Countdown with Keith Olbermann

Ok, why can't all Democrats sound like the DNC chairman?
Really, I'm asking. Why?
The analogy of the 'man with a fistfull of furlows in women's prison' comes to mind when I consider how hard the Democrats are trying not to win.
What exactly do the Republicans have to do to convince ALL Democrats that it's "safe" to attack en masse?
I think Howard Dean wonders, too.

And the really bad thing is...

...all the Dems have to do is tell the truth! They don't have to come up with pithy phrases or framing or misdirection. Just tell the facts and the failures will speak for themselves.
Point by frickin' point.
- Iraq Invasion -- violated all well-established international laws/treaties
- Iraq Lies (WMD, Saddam link to al-Qaeda)
- Iraq Civil War (direct result of US invasion)
- Iraq Casualties (American & Iraqi)
- Iraq Costing Billions to taxpayers (over 300 billion so far)
- Rejecting the Kyoto Accord - it will cost too much to implement changes, he says. Will it cost 300 billion, Mr. President?
- Katrina - this was wrong on so many levels that Dems could just use this one point alone
- Warrantless Eavesdropping - unconstitutional
- "Free Speech Zones" - egregious violation of 1st amendment
- Dubai port deal
- No Child Left Behind - euphemistic gobbledygook is still an educational failure
- Bush's abyssmal National Guard Record - he who sends shall not serve
- Condoning Torture
- Budget deficit - what happened to the Clinton surplus?
- Foreign Policy/Relations - U.S. credibility near zero, zip, (0) -- no more surplus of good will there either
- Signing Statements - the king asserting his inalienable rights to ignore laws
- Endorses outsourcing -- need a good American job -- go overseas.
This list could go on, but I don't have the time. Dems new tagline: We've only got the truth to tell, not stay the course lies to sell.
Flying by the seat of my rants...

Dean is one of the "quiet" heroes
...to my mind, at least. I know he has a reputation for being loud and talking out of turn.
However, he is out there trying to build a Democratic version of the grassroots organization that has made the Repubs so successful. And he just keeps plugging away.
