I'm here today to give criminal justice/penal system hell. It deserves it, like very few other things do. It's such a disaster and relatively no one is talking about it. Anyone that's ever been intimately involved with actual goings-on in a court room (e.g., a plaintiff or defendant) knows how true these statements are. To say that people have the "false idea that court is like they see on TV" is drastically understating the problem - the court systems here (except for the rich and well connected) function like those of third-world countries. Is this an exaggeration - an overstatement? I hope no one here ever has to find out for themselves...
