John Stewart on 60 Minutes
Submitted by laughingcat on Mon, 10/25/2004 - 10:38am. jon stewart | media | videoWell, you knew it wouldn't be Mike Wallace and after Ed Bradley's grim espresso strength story on Emmitt Till and the crackerheads who killed him, seeing Jon's smiling face actually looked good. He started strong with "Dick Cheney becomes the Hulk" when he's not in front of loyal people nodding out as he insists everyone's going to die whether he is or is not in charge.
Kerry can beat Nixon and the troops will be home in time for all in the family, which could have been a typo but wasn't. Teddy is Palm Beach all the way with no pants, "Profiles That Might Have Been Courage" a nod to the elder broski who took one as a mistake, or so we're told by dying torpedos.

John Stewart's cred hit new heights - Crossfire
Submitted by paradox on Sat, 10/16/2004 - 5:45am. jon stewart | media | videoSee the full video of the Crossfire Interview here. Have never, ever seen anything quite like it. The corporate media is so much worse than the Bush administration...and so many people have not one inkling of the depths of how bad it is...knowing all of this stuff makes me feel like I'm in some Twilight Zone episode in which I'm given advance knowledge of some avertable catastrophe, but have been damned with the inability to speak or write (the floating head with no mouth episode, ya know)
