As you can see, the video (full, high-resolution) helps us remember why Colbert is funny and Bush is not: "On claims that the shake-up at the White House was merely re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic: "This Administration is not sinking. This Administration is soaring. If anything they are rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg."

The acidic tongue of Stephen Colbert lashed Bush at the White House Correspondents Dinner. For a full fifteen minutes, Bush was filleted, toasted and roasted by Colbert. Probably the first time in years that Bush has faced reality, though undoubtedly the marinade did not penetrate very well.

Colbert was the last, and it certainly seems the best speaker for the evening. The reportedly very unhappy presidential couple left the dinner without a smile on their faces. It will be a wonder if Colbert hasn't been disappeared by now.
