Bush Psychotic Break Continues
President Despot Pope Bush claims he is leading the "Third Great Awakening" of Christianity in America in a titanic multidecade long strugle of good against evil. The White House is trying to backpedal and play down the religious significance of Bush's statements. But it is clear that at best, Bush is trying to further place himself above criticism by cloaking himself in religious rightousness.
At worst, Bush truly sees himself as the godhead. This has been a theme that Republicans have been developing since his 2000 campaign. There have been a large number of pictures of Bush with his head framed and haloed in light. There have been a significant number of published adorations claiming Bush to be the second coming of the messiah, or to be a saint. Republicans, while keeping this phrentic babble somewhat quiet on the public scene, certainly seem to be fostering it within their ranks.
It is difficult to tell which of the two scenarios is worse. The complete moral disintegration which would allow the ongoing concious fraud. Or that Bush has indeed undergone a psychotic break, and that our only backup to this insanity is Cheney.
Coincidentally, The Onion has a report on current US Armageddon preparedness:
Majority Of Americans Unprepared For Apocalypse
"WASHINGTON, DC—Over 87 percent of Americans are unprepared to protect themselves from even the most basic world-ending scenarios, according to a study released Monday by the nonpartisan doomsday think-tank The Malthusian Institute.
Despite "more than ample warning" for the most likely means of worldwide destruction, less than one million American households have taken even the simplest precautions against nuclear shockwaves, asteroid impact, or a host of angels bearing swords of fire, the study concluded. " More
Vomiting
This makes me sick.
A religous roller coaster and he's riding right in front.
I hope it drails and he's seen for the anti-christ that he is.
Bush causes DTS in American public
Today for the first time, I actually got physically ill listening to the Decider in his press conference this morning. He continued his efforts to bully Congress into accepting his legislation regarding detainees. Nevermind that what he proposes clearly violates, at the very least, the Geneva Convention.
Because I felt a wave of nausea, I thought about sassybloomers comment in this post, "Vomiting." I did a google search "bush makes me sick," and got over 16 million hits. Are Americans suffering from Dubya Talking Syndrome (DTS)? Is he the 21st century's Typhoid Mary? Must he be isolated from the world to stop the spread of DTS? Or will only a Bushotomy save the species?
Mr. Bush has always said we're in a struggle for civilization -- and I thought he was just exaggerating to get votes!

What a coincidence
Today I saw Bush on PBS at my hotel room and I started to listen, since I knew what was going on with the whole 'showdown' thingy, and because PBS is about the only news channel I can stand to have on for more than two minutes. Or so I thought.
Barely able to see straight after hearing him reel through his psychedelic magic mystery tangent the knock blow to my senses came with the follow up 'commentary' which consisted of listening to David, I'm-on-the-dole, Brooks hit all of Karl Rove's personal talking points as if they were his own thoughts or convictions.
Dubya's logic is not really real logic
Frankly, I think Bush is confused by his own twisted logic. Like how he repeatedly says, "We didn't ask for war." He generally uses this phrase when he is talking about the Iraq War. He could not have forgotten that he is the one who ordered the invasion of Iraq that began the war, could he? So if we didn't ask for it, then who did? His supporters say, well, he is talking about the so-called "War on Terror." And yet, every time he uses it, it generally precedes or follows some defense of the Iraq invasion.
His talk yesterday with conservative journalists further demonstrates that he is losing planetary focus. He said that:
A lot of people in America see this as a confrontation between good and evil, including me.... It seems to me that there's a Third Awakening.
He also said that he notices more open expressions of faith among people he meets during his travels.
He just doesn't get that more people are turning to God because they see a power-mad, Mickey Mouse-type in charge of the world's destiny. I pray quite a bit myself.

Am voting for...
America's psychotic break being worse than Bush's. It's really weird to see someone lapse from reality that badly. But it's much more strange to see many other people think it's worth turning into a lifestyle.
