Who drastically cut...
...the military budget year after year for eight years?
Check your facts, bud. The steepest cuts were by elder Bush (for good reason, after the USSR tanked). Besides, the Republican congress is the one that passes spending bills. Not to mention the fact that the budget proposed by Clinton in 2000 increased defense spending by 7%, or $112 billion
OK, GOP delegate,
OK, GOP delegate, I think you, like so many "W" supporters are missing the point. I mean really.. are you seriously suggesting that Clinton is somehow responsible for the lack of armament our troops possess because he ordered the manufacturing of the vehicles? Is that a fair statement to make or just a "my dad can beat up your dad," can't think of anything else to say so I'll blame it on a Democrat statment? Wake up! Read past the "party" line and think about the pressing issues we are faced with. Have you not read the reports? Do you think the reports are false? There was and is no connection between Sadaam and Osama nor were there any WMD's. Oh, that's right Sadaam moved them to Russia before inspections. Really? You believe that? I know, he had me convinced for a while too. I could care less what political party my President is affliated with, however, I DO CARE that my President can spend 40 million dollars on a celebration given our current situation. Even if Judy made no reference to the fact that our soldiers don't have the best equipment, think about the debt we will face for MANY years.Take another second to think about people with extremely important jobs like teachers, law enforcement officials, firemen, and of course....OUR TROOPS who are perpetually at the bottom of the money web. Seriously consider ALL of that then tell me its acceptable to spend that kind of money on a bleepin celebration. I think it was a HUGE slap in the face to the thousands of people on the front lines fighting HIS war. Unbelievable. But you know, at least he "prayed" for them. What a guy.
GOPDelegate - your point is moot.
GOPDelegate - your point is moot.
Even if we could blame the shoddy manufacturing of military vehicles on someone else, that does not justify Bush's lavish spending on his inauguration parties.
You avoid the real issue - Bush has the ability to do the right thing NOW. That was Ms Bachrach's point. She never implied that Bush was responsible for poor state of military vehicles. She highlighted the fact that Bush, despite the current crises, despite the fact that he is once again in a position to use his power wisely, is being irresponsible with funds - choosing, instead, to pump his presidential keg parties full of cash. Those dollars could go to saving the lives of his troops who are fighting his horrific war for him.
Clinton built...
Clinton built a more technologically advanced army that breezed through Afghanistan & Iraq. Clinton didn't have enough vehicles to completely run all of the civil, police and military functions of a poorly planned national building exercise that had a foundation of fraud and lies.
Blame Clinton for EVERYTHING!
Blame Clinton for EVERYTHING!...
Like for creating jobs and a surplus....
and getting elected president legitmately...and being smart.
Let's worship the dufus alcoholic GW BUSH!!

Ms. Bachrach sure didn't...
... have her facts right. Who was President when those vehicles were manufactured? Who drastically cut the military budget year after year for eight years? One answer: William Jefferson Clinton!
